At Raslouw Academy, we believe education should prepare learners not only for examinations, but for life beyond the classroom. Our programmes are intentionally designed to cultivate academic excellence, emotional intelligence, creativity, and leadership. We partner with parents to nurture confident, capable young people who are equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Early & Foundation Phase
In the early years, we focus on building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development. Through structured academic guidance combined with age-appropriate exploration, learners develop curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. Our teachers create safe, engaging environments where every child is encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow in confidence.
We emphasise foundational reading skills, mathematical understanding, and creative expression, ensuring learners are academically secure while also developing empathy, collaboration, and resilience.
Intermediate, Senior and FET Phase
As learners progress, our curriculum deepens in complexity and rigour. We maintain high academic standards while ensuring personalised support. Critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and independent learning become central to the classroom experience.
Our educators intentionally integrate problem-solving, research skills, communication, and collaboration into subject learning. Learners are encouraged to take ownership of their academic journey, preparing them for senior studies and future career pathways.
Holistic Development
Education at Raslouw Academy extends beyond academics. We are committed to developing well-rounded individuals. Sport, cultural activities, leadership opportunities, community engagement, and digital literacy form an essential part of our programme.

Curriculum
Following the CAPS curriculum as prescribed by the Department of Education, Raslouw Academy caters for learners from Grades 4 to 12, while Raslouw Junior Academy supports and develops learners between Grade R and Grade 3. In addition, learner-teacher ratios are strictly limited in a bid to ensure that every learner receives individualised remedial education.

Despite Raslouw Academy being focused on supportive education, our learners regularly achieve a 100% pass rate in their National Senior Certificate Examinations.
For over 10 years, our Grade 12 learners have achieved a perfect 100% pass rate. The latest results from 2025 reflect both a 100% pass rate and a 100% subject pass rate!

Workbooks and Learning Programmes
To ensure effective teaching and optimal learning, specialised workbooks and learning material has been developed for every learner to integrate auditory, visual and motor methodologies. These workbooks are revised and updated regularly to ensure that optimal and adapted learning takes place continuously. Individual learning programmes are developed to ensure supplementary learning and the internalisation of the learning content through games, flash cards, and additional supporting material.

Accommodations Examinations are applied for through the Department of Education, who may award accommodations in the areas of the provision of a scribe, reader, prompter, additional time, a separate venue and spelling, to name a few.

Raslouw Academy and Raslouw Junior Academy relies on a multidisciplinary network of therapists, specialist physicians, psychologists and psychiatrists, each trained to approach learners’ individual needs holistically, thereby ensuring academic progress and instilling a hunger for life-long learning.
A number of therapists are available on-site, including a medical practitioner and Speech and Occupational therapists who attend to learners in dedicated therapy rooms on the premises at Raslouw Junior Academy.
